Terms and Conditions

Regarding the terms and conditions below, Happy Home Pet Care is completely dedicated to providing the best care possible for your pet. Please take the time to read these carefully and print your name and sign at the bottom of the page as acceptance of them.

1    Bookings

1.1    All bookings are taken in good faith and Happy Home Pet Care will strive to honor any time agreed. Should an adjustment be necessary, they will endeavor to contact you, the client, to make a mutually agreeable alternative arrangement.

1.2    Bank Holidays and Public Holidays may incur additional fees which you will be advised of at the time of booking.

2    Cancellations

2.1    In the event of cancellations that are notified to us 14 days prior to the date of the service being provided, all fees will be waived.

2.2    Any bookings that are cancelled between 14 days and 48 hours before date of the service being provided, will require 50% payment for any booked services.

2.3    All bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the date of the service being provided will be payable in full.

2.4    To cancel, or discuss alternative arrangements, please contact by telephone on 07975908411. 2.5 If Happy Home Pet Care cannot provide the service agreed, they will do their best to arrange an alternative.

3    Overnight Animal Care

3.1    Before any arrangement for overnight care or a daytime dog sit is agreed, quotes are free, however, an in-home/meet and greet consultation is required and are chargeable.

3.2    Cancellation Policy as stated above applies to these bookings.

3.3    This consultation will cover your animal needs, a home risk assessment and accommodation arrangements for the sitter if required.

4    Payment for Services

4.1    All payments are due on Sunday of every week after the booking, by cash or electronic bank transfer. Invoices are sent every Thursday with bank details on.

4.2    We do not offer credit facilities.

4.3    Any late payments will incur a late payment charge each day until paid. 

4.4    For pet sitting bookings that exceed a single day, 50% of the total expected fee will be payable on confirmation of booking and the rest on the Friday(s) covering your bookings.

5      Massage Appointments

5.1    Please note that you will need veterinary permission for canine massages. By signing this form, you are consenting that your vet has confirmed this.

5.2    If your dog has an aggressive tendency, this must be declared to enable me to assess potential risk.

5.3    The first massage session is usually around an hour to allow introductions so that the environment is comfortable for everybody involved. Sessions thereafter can vary from 20-40 minutes.

5.4    Please note that sound recordings may be taken of the massage sessions. This is ONLY to capture information that enables writtencase notes.

6    Dog Walking

6.1    No dogs will be walked off leash while under the care of Happy Home Pet Care for safety purposes. If you would like ‘off leash’ style walks, Happy Home Pet Care are happy to compromise and use a long line.

6.2    The registered Owner is responsible for ensuring that their dog is up to date with their vaccinations, flea, tick and de-wormer, and ANY other treatment they require. Failure to do so gives Happy Home Pet Care the right to refuse bookings due to the health risks and report to authorities if necessary.

6.3    The registered Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked or under the care of Happy Home Pet Care.

6.4    Happy Home Pet Care is not accountable for vet fees or third-party claims whilst your dog is in our care.

6.5    The Owner should give full disclosure of any behavioral or medical problems which may affect the way the dog is cared for.

6.6    While the dog is under our care, in line with our professional responsibilities, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health, where it is deemed to be in the best interests and humane treatment of your dog and with consultation from your vet where you are uncontactable.

6.7    As soon as your pet leaves the premises, or the animal carer leaves your home, the responsibility of the pets health is wholly the clients.

6.8    PEOPLE OR DOG AGGRESSIVE DOGS MUST BE MADE KNOWN AND EVIDENCE OF INSURANCE COVER FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY MUST BE PROVIDED.

6.9    Please inform us if your dog needs to wear a muzzle on walks and ANY OTHER requirements during their care period.

7 Marketing

7.1    In line with the Data Protection Act, personal data will not be passed on to third parties (with exception of contacting your vet in an emergency).

7.2    Please indicate below if you are happy for us to use any images of your dog on our social media accounts. This would normally be pictures of an animal and short description saying how awesome they are!

7.3    If at any time you wish us to remove any content related to you or your pet, we will happily oblige

8 General

8.1    If your pet needs any medicine administered, your vet must have given prior approval for us to do so and we will provide a separate form to be signed. Please note administration of medicine incurs an extra fee each time.

8.2    We will be obligated to report any conditions that are unsuitable and possibly dangerous to the health of any animal.

9 Data Protection

9.1    As in 7.1, under the Data Protection Act, personal data will be stored securely and will not be disclosed to third parties (with exception of contacting your vet during emergencies).
